Insurance & Payment Options

Mental health treatment is an investment in ongoing quality of life. At AMFM Healthcare, we accept most types of private insurance, work with many PPO providers, and offer a variety of payment options. We also can work on single-case agreements with insurance providers. We will help verify your insurance coverage for mental health benefits and help determine any out of pocket costs.

Costs will vary based on level of care received, amount of coverage, and deductible details. We will go through that with patients in detail.

We are in-network with many insurance providers and work with many more. Don’t see your provider listed? Check your insurance coverage instantly.

If we are not an appropriate provider for your care needs, we will assist in finding a care provider that can help.

Pre-Treatment Assessment

We will go through a comprehensive clinical assessment with our potential patients, and potentially their family if needed. This assessment includes interviews with our intake specialists, where we’ll discuss mental health history, current symptoms, and any other issues. Our goal is to understand the circumstances that brought the patient to us so we can tailor the treatment plan to best support recovery.

Conditions We Treat

We offer the full continuum of care from residential all the way through outpatient services for teens and adults. We treat many conditions with tailored programs to suit the individual patient. Below is a list of some of the conditions we treat.

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Trauma
  • Personality Disorders
  • Suicidal Ideation
  • Paranoia
  • Social Isolation
  • Adjustment Disorders

  • Teen Social Anxiety
  • Psychosis
  • Panic Attacks
  • Life Adjustment Transitions
  • Self Harm
  • Mania
  • Schizoaffective
  • Schizophrenia
  • Mood Disorders
  • Narcissistic Personality Disorder

If you don’t see the condition you need support with listed, don’t worry! We offer treatment for many conditions not listed here. Give us a call 844-690-0205 and we can confirm available support.

Your Personalized Treatment Plan

Our clinical team will carefully review the information gathered during the previous steps to create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. We will walk you through our recommendations, including the appropriate level of care, therapeutic approaches, and available support services. If residential treatment is recommended, we will also provide a clear overview of what to expect during your stay. This includes information about daily schedules, treatment activities, program expectations, and any preparations you should make before admission.

Residential Mental Health Treatment (RTC)

AMFM Healthcare currently offers residential treatment for adults through A Mission for Michael (AMFM Treatment) in California, Virginia, and Minnesota, and for adolescents through Mission Prep in California and Virginia.

As the highest level of care offered by AMFM Healthcare, residential treatment provides 24/7 clinical support in a safe, structured, and home-like environment. Clients live onsite while participating in individualized treatment designed to support lasting healing and recovery.

Outpatient Mental Health Treatment (IOP & PHP)

Mission Connection provides comprehensive outpatient mental health care for adults and teens ages 12-17 who need more support than traditional weekly therapy. With treatment options available in California, Virginia, and Washington, we offer flexible programming tailored to each client’s unique needs and schedule.

Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) provides structured mental health treatment for at least 15 hours per week. Programming includes individual therapy, group therapy, experiential therapies, and medication management when needed. Adults can access IOP through in-person and/or virtual treatment options, while teens ages 12-17 can participate in specialized virtual programming.

Partial Hospitalization Programming (PHP) provides a more intensive level of care than IOP while serving as a step down from residential treatment. Adult clients participate in programming for six hours per day, five days per week, through in-person and/or virtual options. Unlike residential care, PHP delivers intensive clinical support without requiring overnight stays. Supportive housing may be available for clients traveling to receive care.

Therapies

AMFM Healthcare offers a combination of holistic mental health services‌ and evidence-based therapies like the following:

  • Group Therapy
  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)
  • Crisis Intervention and Stabilization Services
  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Techniques
  • Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) Methods
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Practices
  • Family Therapy Programs
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Techniques
  • Behavioral Activation Strategies
  • Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Therapy
  • Psychodynamic Therapy Sessions
Education Support

We know that our adolescent years are crucial for social and academic development. A core part of our mental health programming is supporting teens in their studies. We have dedicated spaces for school work, studying, and virtual learning they may be able to participate in from their own schools. Our staff is there to support and help build healthy, sustainable learning strategies.

✨ Your Treatment Preferences

Let's figure out your availability and the type of care you are looking for. If you are unsure about any of these options, that's okay - we're here to help and can discuss your options.

How many days a week are you interested in care?*
What type or level of care are you interested in?*
What do you mean by level of care?
In-Person
This is traditional care where you physically go to a therapist's office or a clinic for your sessions.
Think of it like: Going to your regular doctor's office.
Best for: People who prefer face-to-face interaction, need hands-on therapies, or are dealing with a crisis that requires immediate, secure support.
Telehealth / Virtual
This is care you receive remotely using technology, usually through video calls (like Zoom), phone calls, or secure messaging.
Think of it like: A video chat with a friend or a work meeting, but with your mental health provider.
Best for: People who need convenience, have mobility issues, or live far from providers. Good for people that are comfortable using technology.
Hybrid In-Person / Virtual
This is a mix of both in-person and virtual care. Some appointments you attend in the office, and others you do remotely.
Think of it like: A flexible school schedule where you have some classes online and some face-to-face.
Best for: People who want the personal connection of in-person care but also need the flexibility and convenience of virtual appointments.
Residential
This is the most intensive level of mental health care, where you live one of our houses for a period of time (days, weeks, or months) to receive round-the-clock structure and support. It is usually for people with severe symptoms or who have not gotten better with less intensive treatment.
Think of it like: A live-in retreat or school where all your time is dedicated to getting better under professional supervision.
Best for: People who are struggling to function safely or manage their illness at home and need a safe, structured, therapeutic environment.
Unsure
This simply means you don't know yet what level of care is right for you. It's perfectly normal!
Your Next Step: You start by talking to our mental health intake specialist who can assess your needs and recommend the appropriate level of care.
What schedule works best for you?*
Do you have a stable internet connection and computer or a smartphone that can do virtual meetings?*

🏥 Paying for Treatment

Our mental healthcare programs are always tailored to meet your individual needs. Because of this, your unique treatment plan and the level of care you require will determine your exact costs. We will go over any out-of-pocket costs with you directly over the phone or in person. You have multiple options to pay for high-quality mental healthcare services.

Using Insurance for Care: The Affordable Care Act made mental health treatment an essential benefit. As a result, your insurance may cover all or part of your treatment. Your responsibilities will include any co-pay and/pr deductible while your insurance provider will cover the rest. We'll help you check this in the next step.

Financing Options: We believe everyone who needs help should be able to attend a mental healthcare program. Based on your situation, you may qualify for financing or other flexible payment options. We will discuss this option with you on the phone.

Self-Pay Options: We accept Checks, ACH, major cards, and some wallet or digital payment options to help you pay for your care.
